U.S. Student Fulbright Program

The U.S. Student Fulbright Program was established in 1946 to "enable the government of the United States to increase mutual understanding between people of the United States and other countries." It pursues this goal through the international exchange of students, scholars, and professionals. Opportunities are given to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.

Since 2005, 85 SDSU students have received U.S. Fulbright grants. Learn about their projects and experiences

SDSU students and recent alumni must apply through the SDSU campus Fulbright adviser. Information on the application process is available on the student applicants page. Interested students should also attend a student information session held throughout the spring and summer semesters. Writing samples of SDSU Fulbright student awardees can be found under resources.

  • Undergraduates must have graduated by the date of their Fulbright travel.
